On November 28, NewJeans held an urgent press conference in Seoul to address their decision to terminate their exclusive contract with ADOR.
According to multiple insiders, NewJeans informed them of their intention to publicly state their position through a press conference. While some attempted to dissuade the members, the group’s determination to speak openly and confidently prevailed.
The planning for the press conference was conducted with the secrecy of a covert operation. The members’ requirements were simple: 5 chairs for them to sit on, and absolute confidentiality from ADOR.

At the press conference, NewJeans declared their exclusive contract with ADOR would be terminated as of midnight on November 29.
According to Minji, the girl group submitted a request for ADOR to rectify the breaches of our contract, but the responses they received were merely formal and insincere, with none of their demands being met.
In the end, NewJeans are tired of ADOR’s lack of genuine effort, leading to their pursue of a legal injunction to suspend the contract. At the same time, they express their desire to continue working with Min Hee-jin.
Hyein added, “Even if we are no longer allowed to use the name NewJeans, we have no intention of giving it up.”
